#throwbackthursday to my visit to the island of Crete in Greece a few years ago. My group and I were able to visit a number of places, but the one that stood out to me was Agia Triada, or the Holy TrinityMonastery.
Constructed in the 17th century, it has seen a lot of history. Also, the wine and olive oil made on the property were heavenly, if you’ll pardon the expression. I was told that there are a small number of monks that still live and work there, but I’m not sure how accurate that is. If you’re in Southern Greece, don’t pass this one up.
I am planning my adventures and other projects for the rest of the year. With the warm weather finally here, I can’t wait to get back out there!
